Conclusion
While these two propane grills share similar features, it’s not quite apples-to-apples comparison. Seems that more people prefer closed storage area design as well as 4 casters, S-315 might be a slightly better option. Does it justify the price difference? What about iGrill 3 compatibility?
One more consideration – GS4. Weber does not explicitly claim having GS4 in S-315. Does it mean that S-315 is inferior to E-310 due to “lack of” GS4? Let’s understand what GS4 is. GS4 has 4 components:
- Infinity Ignition
- Stainless Steel Burners
- Flavorizers
- Grease Management Systems.
E-310 has Infinity Ignition, while S-315 leverages “Electronic Crossover”. Is it good or bad? Could be either. Limited information is available regarding steel burners for S-315. The same deal as with the ignition. S-315 has more durable stainless steel Flavorizers. Both have Grease Management System.
So, E-310 is a well known system with lots of user feedback available, while S-315 is less familiar to general audience. So for, the S-315 user feedback is positive.
